Deck overview

This mono-red deck operates as an aggressive forced-combat engine centered around its commander, Alexios, Deimos of Kosmos. Deployed on Turn 3 or 4, Alexios passes control to each player during their upkeep, gaining +1/+1 counters and haste while being forced to attack opponents other than you. Because Alexios attacks four times per table rotation, commander damage accumulates rapidly. The deck supplements this aggression with equipment that grants evasion, ward, and protection (such as Commander's Plate and Brotherhood Regalia), alongside damage doublers like The Sound of Drums and Fiendish Duo. Stax and combat control elements such as Silent Arbiter ensure Alexios easily tramples through single blockers while preventing counterattacks against you. While the list lacks dedicated tutors and enchantment interaction, its high density of redundant combat enhancements and commander-centric velocity establish a fast clock that routinely threatens table elimination by Turn 6.
