Commander: Hraesvelgr of the First Brood

Bracket: 2

Deck overview

This is a mono-blue Equipment Voltron list helmed by Hraesvelgr of the First Brood. The Elder Dragon is a 5/5 flyer with vigilance and ward {2} whose enters-the-battlefield and noncreature-spell triggers give a creature +1/+0 and unblockable for the turn. The 99 is an artifact pile: cheap boots and anthems, finishers like Genji Glove, Fireshrieker, and Blackblade Reforged, cost-reducers, and a thick combat-damage draw suite. The primary win is 21 commander damage - suit Hraesvelgr up, cast a spell to turn him unblockable, and connect. Secondary pressure comes from living-weapon bodies (Nettlecyst, Astrologian's Planisphere), thopter and bird tokens, and theft via Fishing Gear and Dream-Thief's Bandana. There are no infinite combos. Hraesvelgr of the First Brood is the evasion engine and the clock; Equipment persists through his death, and living weapons plus other flyers can wear the steel as a backup, but nothing else in the list grants unblockable.
