Deck overview

Doctor Doom, King of Latveria leads a Grixis midrange deck centered on Villain tribal synergies, connive card selection, and evasive combat pressure. The core strategy deploys low-cost Villains, ramps into Doctor Doom by Turn 4, and leverages combat connive triggers to loot through the library, grow threats with +1/+1 counters, and burn opponents whenever land cards are discarded. Value engines like Leader, Super-Genius, Iron Monger, Sadistic Tycoon, and Ultron, Unlimited amplify every connive trigger into additional cards, board-wide buffs, and token swarms. Clone effects such as Quantum Misalignment and Multiversal Recruitment duplicate key threats while dodging the legend rule. Mid-game resilience is backed by reanimation spells like Reanimate and Behold the Sinister Six!, while Propaganda and No Mercy deter aggressive counterattacks. The deck transitions into a decisive board state by Turn 6 and closes out the game around Turn 8 through wide, evasive menace and flying combat assaults supplemented by direct life drain.
