Deck overview

This mono-red control deck harnesses Fin Fang Foom to weaponize targeted land and artifact destruction into an asymmetric engine. The primary game plan accelerates into an early commander deployment by Turn 3, followed by a flurry of cheap targeted destruction spells such as Stone Rain, Molten Rain, and Pillage. Whenever the commander sees a spell targeting a land or artifact, it copies the effect and receives two +1/+1 counters. This dual-purpose mechanism systematically dismantles opposing mana bases while rapidly expanding the commander into a lethal flying threat. Symmetrical sweepers like Wildfire and Destructive Force clear the board while indestructible mana rocks break parity. The deck trades card advantage for tempo and mana denial, aiming to leave opponents starved for colors and answers as Fin Fang Foom closes out the game through evasive commander damage.
