Deck overview

This is a Grixis Bolas planeswalker control/reanimator deck helmed by Nicol Bolas, the Ravager. The primary game plan is to disrupt opponents with discard and hand attack, bury them in card advantage from a dense draw suite, and then close the game through one of three avenues: reanimated haymakers beating down, a Jace, Wielder of Mysteries self-mill kill, or a massive Torment of Hailfire with Bolas's Citadel/Jeska's Will mana. The commander flips into Nicol Bolas, the Arisen, whose +2 draws and -4 reanimates, making him a flexible value engine that also enables the Bolas-walker subtheme (Deliver Unto Evil, Nicol Bolas, Dragon-God). The deck is a midrange grind machine with no fast combo - it wins by out-carding and out-recursing the table.
