Deck overview

This mono-red Dragon tribal deck uses Tannuk, Steadfast Second to circumvent high mana costs and speed up large flying threats. Tannuk grants immediate haste to other creatures while giving red creatures and artifacts warp {2}{R}. This discount allows the pilot to drop game-warping threats like Utvara Hellkite, Terror of Mount Velus, and Drakuseth, Maw of Flames turns ahead of their normal curve. Warped creatures exile at the end step, protecting them from sorcery-speed sweepers and setting them up to be hardcast later. A dense package of Dragon cost-reducers and artifact ramp supports this aggressive curve. While the deck boasts high combat lethality and burn triggers through Dragon Tempest and Scourge of Valkas, it relies heavily on Tannuk remaining on the board and features limited stack interaction and minimal protection against targeted removal.
