Deck overview

This Orzhov Aristocrats deck is led by Elas il-Kor, Sadistic Pilgrim, turning creature sacrifices into steady life drain and lifegain. The primary strategy revolves around assembling a compact infinite drain combo: sacrificing Gravecrawler to Warren Soultrader creates a Treasure token and triggers Elas to drain each opponent for 1 life. Because Warren Soultrader is a Zombie, you can spend the Treasure's black mana to recast Gravecrawler directly from your graveyard, while Elas's lifegain trigger offsets the life paid to Soultrader. Supported by efficient tutors like Demonic Tutor, Vampiric Tutor, and Vile Entomber, the deck consistently assembles and executes this win condition around Turn 4 or 5. A robust graveyard recursion suite—including Reanimate, Victimize, and Stitch Together—provides rapid recovery from removal. While the deck lacks counterspells and dedicated stax pieces, its low mana curve, redundant drainers like Bastion of Remembrance, and card draw engines ensure resilient, lethal execution.
