Deck overview

This Dimir spellslinger deck pairs Gale, Waterdeep Prodigy with Scion of Halaster to create a graveyard-fueled value and combo engine. Scion filters draws and stocks the graveyard every turn, while Gale doubles the value of spells by recasting an instant whenever a sorcery is played from hand, and vice versa. The deck's primary route to victory is applying poison counters to each opponent through cards like Prologue to Phyresis, Ichor Rats, and Vraska's Fall, then accelerating those counters to 10 with a dense suite of proliferate spells headlined by Radstorm, Tekuthal, Inquiry Dominus, and Inexorable Tide. Supported by cost reducers like Baral, Chief of Compliance and Haughty Djinn, the deck transitions smoothly from early filtering to explosive late-turn spell chains. Alternate win conditions include full-table mill via Bruvac the Grandiloquent and Maddening Cacophony or reanimating dominant threats with Breach the Multiverse.
