Deck overview

This Golgari deck uses Tyvar the Bellicose to turn mana dorks into massive combat threats. Early turns focus on establishing 1-drop and 2-drop Elves like Elvish Mystic, Priest of Titania, and Incubation Druid. Casting Tyvar on Turn 3 or 4 immediately upgrades every mana ability: each time an Elf taps for mana, it gains +1/+1 counters equal to that mana once per turn. This turns utility creatures into large beaters that attack with deathtouch. The deck converts excess mana into card draw through Beast Whisperer and Armorcraft Judge, while finishing opponents through wide combat damage, Elvish Warmaster overruns, or life-draining ETBs from Shaman of the Pack and Skemfar Shadowsage.
