Deck overview

This Gruul deck is led by Wolverine, Fierce Fighter, turning fight spells and combat into a lethal engine. Wolverine brings haste, an immediate fight trigger upon entering the battlefield, and a unique damage-healing ability that erases previous damage whenever he takes a new hit. The game plan leverages this durability by suiting him up with deathtouch equipment like Basilisk Collar and Gorgon Flail, damage multipliers like Mjölnir, Hammer of Thor and Gratuitous Violence, and power boosters like Halana and Alena, Partners. A deep suite of low-cost fight spells such as Tail Swipe, Bushwhack, and Prizefight allows Wolverine to repeatedly pick off opposing blockers and threats while remaining undamaged. The deck steadily scales commander damage to eliminate opponents one by one while backup beaters like Red Hulk and Foe-Razer Regent ensure pressure continues even if Wolverine faces removal.
