Deck overview

This deck is a dedicated Abzan lands engine led by The Necrobloom. The strategy revolves around ramping rapidly in the opening turns, deploying the commander on Turn 3 or 4, and utilizing the dredge 2 ability granted to land cards in the graveyard to fill the graveyard while keeping hands full of lands. By leveraging landfall triggers from The Necrobloom, Field of the Dead, and Scute Swarm, the deck transitions into a lethal threat on Turn 5 using mass land-return spells like Scapeshift, Splendid Reclamation, and Lumra, Bellow of the Woods. It controls the board using asymmetric tools such as Aura Shards and Elesh Norn, Mother of Machines, while protecting vital pieces with Sylvan Safekeeper. The deck closes games on Turn 6 through overwhelming combat damage or lethal life drain.
