Deck overview

This Boros deck is led by Vikya, Scorching Stalwart and focuses on an Equipment Voltron strategy paired with direct-damage board control. The primary plan involves deploying Vikya on Turn 3, suiting her up with stat-boosting and double-striking Equipment on Turn 4, and applying lethal combat pressure by Turn 6. Vikya's unique untap and discard ability allows her to clear blockers and burn opponents directly, which synergizes strongly with damage enhancers like Mjölnir, Hammer of Thor and Hawkeye, Young Avenger. To maintain board supremacy, the deck runs potent asymmetric sweepers like Tragic Arrogance and Single Combat that preserve Vikya while devastating opposing armies. A dense suite of low-cost protection spells, including Blacksmith's Skill, Loran's Escape, and Haystack, guards against targeted removal. While the deck possesses resilient threat potential and solid card draw from combat triggers, its low density of fast mana rocks makes it reliant on hitting land drops on curve.
