Auntie Ool, Cursewretch by Lethal

Format: Commander

Commander: Auntie Ool, Cursewretch

Bracket: 4

Deck overview

This is a Jund "blight" deck built entirely around the -1/-1 counter axis. Auntie Ool, Cursewretch turns every counter placed on your own creatures into cards, while countering her via Ward-Blight 2 forces opponents to lose life or feed you draws. Beneath her, the deck's real engine is a wither/poison spread: Everlasting Torment, Kulrath Knight, Black Sun's Zenith, and Toxic Deluge convert combat and sweepers into counter clouds that feed Hapatra, Vizier of Poisons, The Scorpion God, Blowfly Infestation, and Flourishing Defenses. The primary wins are infinite death/drain loops involving Hapatra or Flourishing Defenses plus Blowfly Infestation and a death payoff like The Meathook Massacre or Grave Venerations. A secondary Yawgmoth loop and the Necroskitter/The Reaper, King No More theft package provide alternative inevitability.
