Deck overview

This deck is a Rakdos group-slug and combo-storm strategy helmed by Ob Nixilis, Captive Kingpin. The game plan centers on deploying low-cost pingers, such as Razorkin Needlehead, Creeping Bloodsucker, and Orcish Bowmasters, to trigger whenever opponents draw cards, cast spells, or take turn-based actions. Because each instance of an opponent losing exactly 1 life triggers Ob Nixilis, the commander rapidly grows into a massive flying threat while generating an immense stream of impulse card advantage. The deck leverages this velocity by chaining cheap rituals like Dark Ritual and Jeska's Will into explosive turns. It finishes games either through lethal combat and burn with Chandra's Ignition, or by executing a deterministic two-card infinite damage loop with All Will Be One. A robust suite of redirection spells, including Deflecting Swat and Bolt Bend, efficiently protects Ob Nixilis from spot removal, making the deck resilient, aggressive, and highly proactive.
