Commander: Elas il-Kor, Sadistic Pilgrim

Bracket: 2

Deck overview

This is a low-to-mid power Orzhov aristocrats and lifegain-drain deck helmed by Elas il-Kor, Sadistic Pilgrim. The plan is straightforward: flood the board with cheap creatures and tokens, convert enters-the-battlefield and death triggers into life and table-wide drain, then close through attrition, amplified lifegain payoffs, or a late Exsanguinate. Elas il-Kor, Sadistic Pilgrim is an efficient two-mana engine that turns every subsequent creature into a life pad on entry and a one-point ping to each opponent on death, but the 99 carries many redundant drain and lifegain pieces (Marauding Blight-Priest, Vengeful Bloodwitch, Starscape Cleric, South Wind Avatar) so the deck is not purely commander-centric. There are no assembled infinite combos; wins come from grinding value, sacrifice loops, and combat pressure from growing bodies like Ajani's Pridemate and Fiendish Panda. Expect a patient, board-centric game that rewards careful sequencing of tokens, sac outlets, and drain multipliers.
