Deck overview

Varina, Lich Queen is the draw engine and token generator of a zombie-tribal deck that wins through overwhelming combat and then a compact graveyard combo. The primary plan is to attack with Zombies, use Varina's trigger to draw and discard, then convert the graveyard into more Zombies with Bone Miser, Hashaton, and Varina's second ability. The secondary path is the Gravecrawler + Phyrexian Altar + Necroduality loop, which makes infinite black mana and finishes with Exsanguinate (or the back face of Stensian Sanguinist). The Scarab God and Hashaton act as hidden backup commanders, giving independent zombie generation and recursion. The deck is resilient but heavily vulnerable to graveyard hate.
