Food and Fellowship (LOTR Upgraded)

Format: Commander

Commander: Frodo, Adventurous Hobbit and Sam, Loyal Attendant

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Frodo, Adventurous Hobbit and Sam, Loyal Attendant lead an Abzan Food token engine that combines incremental lifegain, card draw, and aristocrats drain. Sam generates Food tokens at combat and reduces their activation cost to a single generic mana, which immediately turns on Frodo's Ring tempt triggers and card draw when attacking. The deck accumulates an overwhelming stockpile of Food tokens using multipliers like Academy Manufactor and Peregrin Took. It then pivots into a table-wide kill through token drain effects such as Mirkwood Bats and Nadier's Nightblade, or through massive team-wide pump effects like Night of the Sweets' Revenge, Pippin, and Treebeard.
