Deck overview

This deck is an aggressive Izzet spellslinger build piloted by Rootha, Mastering the Moment. The strategy revolves around casting high mana value instant and sorcery spells—often discounted by cost reducers such as Goblin Electromancer and Stormcatch Mentor—to trigger Rootha's combat ability. This generates massive flying, hasty Elemental tokens each turn. The deck scales its offensive pressure by pairing these tokens with multipliers like Determined Iteration, Brudiclad, Telchor Engineer, Rionya, Fire Dancer, and Bria, Riptide Rogue. A dense suite of low-cost cantrips and burst card draw fuels consistent land drops and spell velocity, while efficient countermagic and burn spells disrupt opposing plans. Rather than relying on infinite combos, the deck achieves victory through compounding aerial damage and explosive combat overruns like Surge to Victory.
