Deck overview

Grolnok, the Omnivore leads a Simic Frog tribal and self-mill deck that transforms combat attacks into massive card advantage. The deck opens with low-cost mana dorks and utility Frogs to deploy Grolnok by turn 3 or 4. Once Grolnok enters the battlefield, every attacking Frog mills three cards, exiling permanent cards with croak counters into an accessible second hand. Burst mill spells like Cut Your Losses and Traumatize rapidly fill exile with lands and creature spells. Cost reducers like Doc Aurlock, Grizzled Genius and mana engines like Clement, the Worrywort and Three Tree City enable explosive turns where the deck casts multiple threats directly from exile. The deck wins by overrunning opponents with tall and wide combat damage from scaling creatures like Valley Mightcaller, Rampant Frogantua, and Froghemoth around turns 6 to 8.
