This Esper Spellslinger Control deck is commanded by Y'shtola, Night's Blessed. The strategy turns reactive control spells into active win conditions by utilizing Y'shtola's ability to deal 2 damage to each opponent and gain 2 life whenever a noncreature spell with mana value 3 or greater is cast. By enchanting Y'shtola with Curiosity, Ophidian Eye, or Helm of the Ghastlord, each 3+ mana value spell deals damage to all three opponents and immediately draws 3 cards. The deck uses this card advantage to cycle through cheap and free interaction spells, keep the board clear, and assemble the infinite drain combo of Exquisite Blood with Vito, Thorn of the Dusk Rose or Enduring Tenacity. Supported by robust pillowfort pieces, uncounterable removal, and free counterspells, the deck controls the game tempo before executing a swift table-wide finish.
