Deck overview

This deck is a synergistic Grixis mid-range build helmed by Dr. Eggman. The game plan revolves around accelerating into the commander on Turn 4, triggering its end-step villainous choice to draw cards and either strip opponent resources or cheat massive Constructs, Robots, and Vehicles directly into play. The deck pairs this engine with a dense suite of discard punishers such as Megrim, Liliana's Caress, and Waste Not, turning every opponent choice into severe attrition. Large threats like Combustible Gearhulk, Chaos Defiler, and Noxious Gearhulk control the board and apply combat pressure, while several blink spells re-trigger enters-the-battlefield effects and dodge spot removal. However, the list completely lacks countermagic and cheap instant-speed interaction, leaving it vulnerable to opposing combo finishes and board wipes.
