Deck overview

This deck executes an innovative Izzet Landfall strategy commanded by Keranos, God of Storms. It bypasses traditional color boundaries by combining Moonfolk bounce mechanics, artifact land droppers, and color or land-type altering spells like Mind Bend, Spectral Shift, and Crystal Spray. By changing Valakut, the Molten Pinnacle to trigger off basic Islands, or changing Islands into Mountains, the deck converts ordinary blue land drops into lightning bolts. Its primary win condition relies on assembling an infinite landfall loop with Retreat to Coralhelm, Walking Atlas or PuPu UFO, and a bounce land like Izzet Boilerworks, funneling unbounded triggers through Sabotender, Spitfire Lagac, or Akoum Hellkite to burn the entire table in a single turn. Backed by free countermagic, incremental value from Gandalf, Shadow's Foe, and explosive sorceries like Nahiri's Lithoforming, the list blends control elements with sudden combo finishes.
