Deck overview

This deck is a mono-red Dragon tribal midrange deck helmed by Lathliss, Dragon Queen. The deck's primary strategy revolves around establishing mana velocity through artifact ramp and creature cost-reducers (Dragonlord's Servant, Dragonspeaker Shaman), deploying Lathliss on Turn 5, and rapidly expanding an aerial strike force by triggering her token generation with subsequent Dragon spells. Once established on Turn 6, the deck converts wide flying boards into lethal damage via tribal burn effects (Dragon Tempest, Scourge of Valkas, Warstorm Surge) or mass combat swings boosted by firebreathing and extra combats. While the deck boasts immense late-game combat power and robust creature board suppression via red sweepers, it operates at a traditional casual cadence. Its reliance on high-CMC permanents leaves it vulnerable to well-timed board wipes and counterspells, with minimal stack interaction or enchantment removal to contest fast combo strategies.
