Deck overview

This deck is a Grixis Spellslinger Combo strategy helmed by Fire Lord Azula, who provides mana velocity via Firebending 2 and doubles every spell cast while attacking. The deck accelerates through ten 2-CMC mana rocks, low-cost rituals, and efficient cantrips to deploy Azula on Turn 3 or 4. Once Azula attacks on Turn 4 or 5, she converts combat mana into explosive card advantage and mana generation by copying spells like Seething Song, Frantic Search, and Big Score. This velocity rapidly digs or tutors into the primary two-card win condition: Turnabout combined with Reiterate. With seven or more mana from lands and artifacts, Reiterate with buyback infinitely untaps mana sources, generating unbounded mana. The deck then copies Comet Storm or Lightning Bolt infinitely to eliminate all three opponents in a single turn. Defended by a dense suite of 1-mana and 2-mana counterspells, the list functions as an efficient, highly focused combo deck.
