Deck overview

This deck is a classic five-color Dragon tribal strategy commanded by The Ur-Dragon. From the command zone, the commander's eminence ability reduces the cost of all Dragon spells by one generic mana, accelerating early deployment. The mana base relies on basic lands, tri-lands, and two-to-three mana cost rocks and cost reducers to cast mid-sized Dragons starting on Turn 4 or 5. Once established, the deck transitions into lethal combat steps using game-ending force multipliers such as Utvara Hellkite, Thrakkus the Butcher, and Scourge of the Throne. When The Ur-Dragon enters combat, it generates massive card advantage and cheats expensive permanents directly onto the battlefield. While the deck lacks fast combo lines and heavy stax pieces, its aerial combat power and resilient redundancy overwhelm opponents who cannot assemble immediate sweepers.
