Deck overview

This Sultai deck is led by Thranduil, the Elvenking, a commander that inherits all activated abilities of Elf cards in your graveyard. The primary strategy uses graveyard tutors such as Buried Alive and Jarad's Orders to entomb Devoted Druid, Greenhilt Trainee, and Jarad, Golgari Lich Lord. Once Thranduil is on the battlefield, he activates Greenhilt Trainee's ability to grant himself +4/+4, untaps by placing a -1/-1 counter on himself with Devoted Druid's ability, and repeats the cycle to achieve infinite power, toughness, and green mana. After generating infinite mana, Thranduil gives another creature arbitrarily large power and sacrifices it using Jarad's copied ability to eliminate all three opponents simultaneously. If the combo route is disrupted, the deck pivots naturally into go-wide Elf aggression backed by Priest of Titania, Tyvar, the Pummeler, and Abomination of Llanowar.
