Deck overview

This is a $120 Grixis combo-control list built around Kefka, Court Mage // Kefka, Ruler of Ruin as a velocity engine rather than the actual win condition. The front face turns every cast, flicker, or attack into a discard-and-draw burst; the back face is a rarely reached payoff. The deck's real teeth are the compact two-card lines in the 99: Thassa's Oracle plus Demonic Consultation, the infinite hasty-token loop of Dualcaster Mage plus Electroduplicate, and a Peregrine Drake / Archaeomancer / Ghostly Flicker mana engine. A dense package of Lim-Dul's Vault, Wishclaw Talisman, Vedalken Aethermage, and Step Through makes the kills findable, while flash creatures, counterspells, and instant-speed bounce keep the deck interactive. With an average mana value of 2.36, Kefka is optional; every primary line succeeds without casting him.
