Deck overview

This deck is a mono-red aggressive engine centered on Alex Wilder, Runaway. The strategy leverages mechanics that cast spells from outside the hand, including impulse exile, adventures, madness, cascade, and escape. Whenever a creature enters after being cast from anywhere other than your hand, Alex Wilder grants it +2/+0 and haste until the end of the turn. This turns every cheap adventure creature and impulse draw into an immediate, aggressive threat. Complementing this combat pressure are heavy burn payoffs like Passionate Archaeologist, Keeper of Secrets, and Dragonhawk, Fate's Tempest, which penalize opponents whenever you cast cards from exile. While the deck possesses remarkable card flow and recovers smoothly from graveyard disruption using escape, it lacks dedicated stack protection and enchantment removal. It succeeds by out-valuing opposing interaction through sheer redundancy, fast combat steps, and asymmetric damage sweepers like Delayed Blast Fireball.
