Deck overview

This deck runs an Orzhov aristocrats strategy led by Elas il-Kor, Sadistic Pilgrim with Lurrus of the Dream-Den as a companion. Built strictly with permanents having mana values of two or less, the deck establishes an early, low-cost board state featuring sacrifice outlets, expendable creatures, and death-drain engines. While the deck contains no infinite combos or fast mana acceleration, its extreme density of one-drop and two-drop creatures ensures consistent, low-variance deployment by Turn 3. The strategy wins through incremental life drain, converting creature deaths into direct damage while sustaining its hand using Skullclamp, sacrifice card draw, and Lurrus's graveyard recursion. Late in the game, mass reanimation spells like Raise the Past and symmetric disruption like Fraying Omnipotence swing life totals rapidly. The deck is vulnerable to exile-based board wipes and graveyard hate, but its high redundancy allows it to rebuild quickly and threaten opponents through continuous attrition.
