Deck overview

This deck is a Grixis Spellslinger Midrange strategy commanded by Saruman, the White Hand. The primary objective is to cast Saruman early, then leverage a high density of noncreature spells to amass a colossal Orc Army token with built-in ward {2}. The deck amplifies its spell output through trigger enhancers like Harmonic Prodigy, Veyran, Voice of Duality, and Mauhúr, Uruk-hai Captain. Once the Army reaches lethal proportions, evasion enablers such as Enter the Enigma, Rogue's Passage, and Orcish Siegemaster allow it to push through defenses and eliminate opponents sequentially. Secondary win paths include swarming the board with evasive Wraith tokens via Lord of the Nazgûl or grinding out value with Sauron, the Dark Lord and reanimated threats like Sheoldred, Whispering One. A robust suite of counterspells and flexible removal keeps opposing threats in check while advancing the primary board state.
