Deck overview

This mono-green deck is a thematic Nissa Vorthos build combining landfall mechanics, land animation, and planeswalker synergies. Helmed by Nissa, Vastwood Seer, the deck steadily hits land drops using ramp spells like Nissa's Pilgrimage and Roiling Regrowth to flip its commander into Nissa, Sage Animist. The operational game plan pivots on establishing large token generators such as Avenger of Zendikar, Rampaging Baloths, and Zendikar's Roil. Once assembled around Turn 5–6, the deck converts high land counts into substantial combat damage using overrun abilities from planeswalkers like Nissa, Ascended Animist or team buffs from Sylvan Advocate. Due to its exhibition nature, the deck prioritizes narrative cohesion—including cards like Nissa Revane, Nissa's Chosen, and Verdant Crescendo—over competitive speed. It features moderate recovery thanks to resilient land bases, but carries notable vulnerabilities to mass removal and fast combo strategies due to light interaction and protection suites.
