Deck overview

This deck is a Jund -1/-1 counters midrange strategy commanded by Auntie Ool, Cursewretch. The primary game plan revolves around leveraging the Blight mechanic and -1/-1 counter distribution to generate continuous card advantage and life drain. Early turns focus on establishing mana fixing and minor utility creatures. Once the commander is deployed on Turn 4, cards like Sinister Gnarlbark, Contagion Clasp, and Hapatra, Vizier of Poisons trigger recurring card draw and token creation. By Turn 6, the deck achieves critical onset through asymmetric board suppression cards such as Kulrath Knight, Carnifex Demon, and Maha, Its Feathers Night, which lock down opposing attackers and decimate utility creatures. The deck finishes games on Turn 8 through wide token combat and cumulative life loss, backed by the infinite loop of Blowfly Infestation and Hapatra, Vizier of Poisons. Abundant recursion ensures resilient late-game grinding.
