Lathril - Budget by Seria

Format: Commander

Commander: Lathril, Blade of the Elves

Bracket: 2

Deck overview

This is a Golgari Elf tribal deck helmed by Lathril, Blade of the Elves, built around a classic go-wide strategy that generates a critical mass of Elf tokens, then weaponizes them through +1/+1 counters and direct life drain. The deck's primary game plan is to accelerate mana with cheap Elf dorks, deploy Lathril early, swing for combat damage to snowball tokens, and eventually activate Lathril's tap ability (drain each opponent for 10) or fire a massive Exsanguinate to close out the table. The +1/+1 counter subtheme (via Feast on the Fallen, Evolution Sage, Sylvan Scavenging) also fuels card draw engines like Inspiring Call and Armorcraft Judge, while recursion pieces such as Eternal Witness and Cauldron of Essence provide grind potential. The deck wins through incremental drain, combat overwhelm, and one big life-total swing.
