Deck overview

This deck is a Gruul tribal midrange strategy led by Muerra, Trash Tactician. It combines cheap Raccoons with high-impact stompy payoffs. Early turns focus on developing Raccoon creatures and mana rocks to maximize Muerra's first main phase mana generation. By Turn 4, Muerra turns a board of Raccoons into explosive mana acceleration, easily meeting the deck's Expend 4 and Expend 8 thresholds to gain life and exile cards for card advantage. The midgame uses this mana surge to deploy massive threats like Ghalta, Primal Hunger, Brambleguard Veteran, and Etali, Primal Storm. The deck closes games around Turn 6 to 8 by overwhelming the table with trample damage through Craterhoof Behemoth, Unnatural Growth, and Gratuitous Violence. While vulnerable to mass removal and lacking stack interaction, its high mana output and redundant beaters provide consistent combat pressure.
