Deck overview

This deck is a dedicated poison and proliferate strategy led by Atraxa, Praetors' Voice. The game plan focuses on infecting each opponent early with efficient toxic and infect creatures or global spells like Prologue to Phyresis and Ichor Rats. Once all opponents have at least one poison counter, the deck transitions into a controlling posture, using Atraxa alongside engines such as Bloated Contaminator, Evolution Sage, Tekuthal, Inquiry Dominus, and Inexorable Tide to multiply counters every turn without needing further combat connections. Supported by unconditional tutors, modular removal, and resilient protection spells like Ripples of Potential and Flawless Maneuver, the deck applies equal, inevitable pressure across the entire pod, culminating in a synchronized lethal poison finish around turn 7.
