Deck overview

This deck is a Temur Dragon tribal strategy helmed by Miirym, Sentinel Wyrm. The primary game plan accelerates mana during turns 1 through 3 using ramp spells, mana rocks, and Dragon cost-reducers to cast Miirym ahead of curve on turn 4 or 5. Once Miirym is on the battlefield, every subsequent nontoken Dragon creates a duplicate token copy, rapidly multiplying board presence. Payoffs like Dragon Tempest and Scourge of Valkas turn these entries into massive direct damage, while Atarka, World Render and Utvara Hellkite grant explosive combat lethality. Card draw engines such as Temur Ascendancy and Garruk's Uprising keep the hand full as large threats enter the battlefield. While the deck benefits from Miirym's ward ability and high creature redundancy, it relies on sorcery-speed deployment and carries light instant-speed protection, making it vulnerable to well-timed board wipes. When left uninterrupted, the deck reliably closes the game by turns 6 to 7.
