Deck overview

This deck centers on Kotis, the Fangkeeper, a Sultai Voltron commander that converts combat damage into massive tempo and card advantage. Built-in indestructible allows Kotis to survive standard board wipes like Blasphemous Act and Wrath of God, while cheap evasion Auras like Aqueous Form and Aether Tunnel ensure connections. Instant-speed pump spells such as Invigorate, Groundswell, and Might of Oaks supercharge Kotis right before combat damage resolves, massively inflating the number of cards exiled from an opponent's library and enabling you to cast their best spells for free. Supporting cards like Ivy, Gleeful Spellthief duplicate beneficial enchantments, while clone creatures like Spark Double and Helm of the Host bypass the legend rule to double down on Kotis's triggers. The strategy is proactive and combat-focused, turning opponents' decks against them while threatening lethal commander damage.
