Deck overview

This mono-blue control deck centers on accumulating a massive hand size to fuel both resource velocity and formidable threats. Commanded by Soramaro, First to Dream, the strategy pairs unlimited hand size effects with heavy card draw engines to turn hand advantage directly into offensive power. Early turns focus on mana rocks and land ramp before deploying engines like Teferi's Ageless Insight or the commander itself. Threats like Psychosis Crawler, Body of Knowledge, and Sturmgeist scale exponentially with card draw, allowing the deck to pressure life totals through flying combat or drain effects. Defense relies on classic blue permission, attack deterrents such as Propaganda, and mass bounce effects like Aetherize and Aetherspouts. While vulnerable to aggro pressure before establishing a board, once the deck hoards double-digit cards in hand, its late-game inevitability and deep counterspell access make it difficult to overcome.
