Deck overview

This Mardu artifact combo deck utilizes Jan Jansen, Chaos Crafter to convert noncreature artifacts into Construct tokens and artifact creatures into Treasure tokens. Jan's innate haste allows him to establish immediate value upon landing on Turn 3. The primary win condition revolves around combining Jan with untap engines like Thornbite Staff or Clock of Omens. Because Thornbite Staff untaps its equipped creature whenever any creature dies, sacrificing a Construct to produce two Treasures triggers an untap, allowing Jan to immediately sacrifice a Treasure to create two Constructs. Repeating this loop generates infinite mana and infinite enter-the-battlefield and death triggers. Paired with aristocrat pingers like Marionette Apprentice, Reckless Fireweaver, or Mirkwood Bats, the combo eliminates the entire table simultaneously. The deck boasts efficient creature removal in white and black, but features limited stack protection and stax, demanding careful timing when deploying combo components.
