Commander: Jenova, Ancient Calamity

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This Golgari deck leverages Jenova, Ancient Calamity to convert +1/+1 counters into explosive card draw and devastating creature power. The game plan focuses on establishing early ramp, deploying counter amplifiers like Hardened Scales and Corpsejack Menace, and casting Jenova to grant power-boosting counters that turn your board into Mutants. Once these buffed creatures die during your turn via sacrifice outlets such as Viscera Seer, Jarad, Golgari Lich Lord, or Woe Strider, Jenova draws massive handfuls of cards. You close games through lethal trample damage from overgrown threats or non-combat life loss using Jarad to fling massive creatures directly at your opponents.
