Deck overview

This Jeskai deck is led by Gandalf, Party Guest, turning legendary Wizard tribal synergies into a high-tempo spellslinger engine. The primary plan establishes a dense early curve of 2-CMC and 3-CMC legendary Wizards like Baral, Chief of Compliance, Balmor, Battlemage Captain, and Kitsa, Otterball Elite, supported by efficient mana rocks. When Gandalf enters on Turn 4, his beginning-of-combat trigger immediately casts high-cost instants and sorceries from hand for free, scaling with the number of legendary Wizards controlled. On Turn 5, the deck transitions into critical onset by cheating massive haymakers such as Aminatou's Augury, Full Throttle, or Taunt from the Rampart, overwhelming opponents through cascading card advantage, multiple combat steps, and unblockable alpha strikes. Supported by asymmetric wipes like Urza's Ruinous Blast and Raise the Palisade, the deck eliminates the entire table by Turn 6 while leveraging strong backup combat lines if Gandalf is disrupted.
