Filthy little Gandalfs by user6739794

Format: Commander

Commander: Gandalf, Westward Voyager

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This is a Simic "big mana, bigger spells" value deck built entirely around Gandalf, Westward Voyager. The pilot accelerates heavily with land-ramp and mana rocks, drops Gandalf on turn 4-5, then chains spells with mana value 5 or greater, turning each one into extra cards, copies, or both. The spell-copy multiplication is the core: Twinning Staff, Storm of Saruman, Strionic Resonator, and Wizard's Staff turn a single Apex Devastator or Last March of the Ents into multiple huge effects. Meanwhile, Imoti, Celebrant of Bounty, Chimil, the Inner Sun, Monstrous Vortex, and One with the Multiverse provide cascade and discover engines to keep the chain running. There is no infinite combo; the deck wins through overwhelming combat, using 10/10 token copies, trample from Garruk's Uprising, and pump from Return of the Wildspeaker.
