Deck overview

This Sultai deck is an explosive Elfball combo strategy helmed by Thranduil, the Elvenking. The deck aims to accelerate rapidly in the opening turns using efficient mana dorks like Llanowar Elves, Priest of Titania, and Delighted Halfling. Once mana is established, single-card tutors such as Buried Alive, Entomb, and Jarad's Orders deposit key combo pieces directly into the graveyard. When Thranduil enters the battlefield, he inherits the activated abilities of every Elf in the graveyard. Combining Devoted Druid's untap cost with Immaculate Magistrate's counter placement generates infinite mana and arbitrarily large creatures. The deck then converts this advantage into an immediate same-turn victory through Jarad, Golgari Lich Lord's life-draining sacrifice ability or a massive Exsanguinate. If the commander is disrupted, the deck pivots cleanly to an alternate infinite mana engine featuring Argothian Elder and Wirewood Lodge or an aggressive wide overrun.
