Deck overview

This Simic deck is a dedicated tribal aggro strategy commanded by Hakbal of the Surging Soul. The primary objective is to deploy efficient Merfolk creatures on early turns, cast Hakbal on Turn 4, and trigger table-wide explore triggers every combat. Exploration rapidly filters the library, guarantees consistent land drops, and accelerates power via +1/+1 counters. Counter amplifiers like Branching Evolution and lords like Master of the Pearl Trident quickly inflate creature stats, while evasion enablers such as Herald of Secret Streams render the entire army unblockable. The deck backs up its combat plan with card advantage engines like Kindred Discovery and Svyelun of Sea and Sky, along with key protection spells like Ripples of Potential and Inspiring Call to survive sweepers. While vulnerable to heavy board wipes and limited in fast stack interaction, it presents an overwhelming, resilient combat clock that closes games by Turn 8.
