Deck overview

This mono-white deck blends aggressive Angel tribal synergies and lifegain engines with a disruptive stax shell. Commanded by Ob Nixilis, the Ascended, the deck capitalizes on enter-tapped stax pieces like Authority of the Consuls, Blind Obedience, and Thalia, Heretic Cathar. When Ob Nixilis resolves, he acts as an asymmetric one-sided board wipe against opposing tapped creatures, generating immediate life and producing a recurring stream of 4/4 flying Angels. In the early turns, the deck constricts opponents' mana curves and creature sequencing using cards like Thalia, Guardian of Thraben, Deafening Silence, and Static Orb while establishing lifegain cornerstones such as Giada, Font of Hope and Righteous Valkyrie. It closes games by swinging with a massive, evasive airborne strike force or finding its incidental two-card infinite damage combo with Heliod, Sun-Crowned and Walking Ballista.
