Ayara EDH by Mmix

Format: Commander

Commander: Ayara, First of Locthwain

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Ayara, First of Lochtwain leads a mono-black aristocrats deck that converts creature deaths into life drain and card advantage. Ayara is both an entry-trigger ping and a sacrifice outlet for card draw, and the 99 supports her with token generators like Bitterblossom, Jadar, and Ghoulish Procession, plus recursive skeletons and graveyard reanimation. The primary kill is incremental: Ayara plus Zulaport Cutthroat, Bastion of Remembrance, Syr Konrad, and similar effects grind down all opponents. A compact secondary win is the infinite sacrifice loop among Warren Soultrader, Pitiless Plunderer, and Reassembling Skeleton (or Cult Conscript if a non-Skeleton has died that turn), with Ayara or a life-gaining drainer making it net-neutral. Bolas's Citadel and Gray Merchant of Asphodel provide burst finishing options. Sephiroth, Fabled SOLDIER adds another drain layer and can transform into a damage emblem.
