Deck overview

This Grixis deck is led by Marchesa, Dealer of Death, focusing on converting crime triggers—actions that target opponents, their permanents, or their graveyards—into continuous card selection and graveyard velocity. The deck accelerates in the opening turns using a dense suite of mana artifacts, casting Marchesa on Turn 3. It utilizes repeatable, low-cost crime engines such as Glasses of Urza, Spatial Binding, Red Death, Shipwrecker, and a robust interaction suite to dig deep into the library while discarding high-impact threats. The primary win route reanimates game-dominating creatures like Archon of Cruelty and Hullbreaker Horror, or floods the board with buffed menace Zombie tokens via Gisa, the Hellraiser. Supported by efficient countermagic and removal that simultaneously advance its card advantage engine, the deck grinds down opponents through relentless attrition and closes the game through evasive combat damage.
