Deck overview

This deck executes a focused Golgari Elf tribal strategy centered on Lathril, Blade of the Elves. The early game focuses on deploying efficient mana dorks and early Elves to cast Lathril on Turn 3 or 4. Once Lathril connects in combat, her ability rapidly multiplies your board presence with 1/1 Elf Warrior tokens. The midgame converts this wide board into overwhelming resource advantage through card draw engines like Skullclamp and Ohran Frostfang, alongside explosive mana from Three Tree City and Selvala, Heart of the Wilds. The deck closes out games on Turn 5 or 6 using game-ending anthems like Coat of Arms and Banner of Kinship, a large Finale of Devastation, or tapping ten Elves with Lathril to drain life totals directly. Supporting -1/-1 counter synergies provide creature control, while compact protection spells defend key pieces.
