Format: Commander

Commander: Valgavoth, Harrower of Souls

Bracket: 4

Deck overview

Valgavoth, Harrower of Souls leads a Rakdos group-slug/combo deck. The plan is to make every opponent lose small amounts of life each turn with pain enchantments and draw-punishers, which turns Valgavoth into a repeatable draw engine and growing evasive beater. The cleanest kill is an infinite damage loop between Ob Nixilis, Captive Kingpin and All Will Be One, started with Mount Doom or any one-life drain. Backup pressure comes from commander damage/infect with haste equipment and from Syr Konrad/Bloodchief Ascension attrition. A stax pack of Smoke, Manabarbs, Mudslide, No Mercy, and goad effects buys time while the table bleeds out.
