Commander: Darien, King of Kjeldor

Bracket: 2

Deck overview

This is a mono-white Soldier/token deck helmed by Darien, King of Kjeldor, built around a simple but resilient loop: take damage, make 1/1 Soldiers, and gain life to keep the engine running. The deck wins primarily through combat - going wide with tokens and pumping them with anthem effects like Cathars' Crusade, Intangible Virtue, Flowering of the White Tree, and Goldnight Commander, then closing with Avenging Huntbonder's double strike or Eldrazi Monument's flying and indestructible. Life gain from Soul Warden, Authority of the Consuls, and The Wind Crystal converts Darien's damage trigger into a cushion, while a dense protection suite keeps the board alive through wipes. Secondary wins include a large White Sun's Twilight that wipes all other creatures while leaving toxic Mite tokens, and Elspeth, Storm Slayer's token doubling. There are no infinite combos; this is a fair, grindy value deck that wins by outlasting opponents.
